Dear Sir or Madam, My name is Mar Morales Jiménez and I am a translator and interpreter specialized in English and French. Throughout my university studies I discovered my interest in teaching, and it was during my Erasmus stay in Germany that I reaffirmed my enthusiasm, as I had the opportunity to work as a teacher, and I realized how satisfying it was to be able to transmit not only linguistic knowledge but also all aspects of Spanish culture. Thus, after finishing my degree in Translation and Interpreting, I did not hesitate to continue my training in the field of teaching, so I did my Master's degree in teacher training in Melilla, a city located in North Africa. Living in Melilla was a great experience on personal, as it is a multicultural city where different religions, traditions and lifestyles coexist. The following year, the University of Melilla offered me a Master's degree in Coeducation and Interculturality. On the other hand, as reflected in my CV, I have always been passionate about audiovisual translation and I had the opportunity to take several courses in subtitling and dubbing and also in software, website and video game localization, both at the University of Granada and online at Traduversia and ISTRAD, the Instituto Superior de Estudios Lingüísticos y Traducción (Higher Institute of Linguistic Studies and Translation). As for my experience in translation, localization, dubbing and subtitling, I have been part of several projects since 2017. In October 2021, I started working continuously as a translator and interpreter for a French film production company based in Almeria. I also work for other national film production companies, which have allowed me to take part in shoots for renowned platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ or ARTE. My main job is translating scripts and interpreting from English, French and Italian into Spanish, and vice versa, on film sets. Currently, due to my communication skills, my organizational and planning skills, I am training as a regisseur. As a good lover of languages, my greatest wish is to develop my life in a European country that allows me to fulfil myself both professionally and personally, so it would be very rewarding for me to live in Switzerland.
